On Thursday evening the 13th October Thompson Insurance Brokers hosted a leaders in business interview with Irish entrepreneur Emmet O’Neill. The evening involved a drinks reception and supper at the RDS Members Club before an extremely engaging interview under Chatham House Rules conducted by Shane Hennelly, Joint Managing Director of Thompson Insurances.
Emmet has been involved in all manner of large and small business concerns. He founded Smiles Dental in 2005 building a substantial dental surgery network across Ireland and Britain before selling the group in 2014. Emmet was appointed chief executive of Topaz shortly after the Smiles deal concluded before it sold in late 2015 to Canadian firm Couche-Tarde. The interview delved in to his business experiments, challenges, failures, successes and his advice to the various business owners and executives present.
